Subscription and Purchase Terms

These terms explain how CourseGeni plans, top-ups and add-ons are bought, used and renewed. They form part of our Terms and Conditions.

1. Plans

The current limits of each plan (courses, generation units, AI edit credits, storage and features) are shown on our Pricing page at the time of purchase. Every paid plan can create, download and publish courses, with no limit on learners.

2. Prices and taxes

• Prices are in Indian Rupees and exclude GST. 18% GST is added at checkout.
• A GST invoice is issued for every payment. Enter your GSTIN at checkout to get a B2B invoice; it can't be added afterwards.
• We may change prices for future purchases and renewals. Your current term's price never changes.

3. Payment

• Payments are processed by Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets). We do not store your payment details.
• Your plan or top-up starts once the payment is confirmed.
• Coupon codes must be entered at checkout, can't be combined unless stated, and have no cash value.

4. Allowances: generation units and AI edit credits

• Generation units are used to create course pages: a page kept as is uses 1 unit, an AI-improved page uses 3 units, Express (immediate) generation uses 1.5×, and linked videos use none.
• AI edit credits are used for AI edit actions such as rewrite, simplify, translate and regenerate. The cost is shown before each action. The manual editor and re-downloading courses are free.
• Allowances are given once per plan term (not monthly). Unused plan allowances expire at the end of the term.
• Only your team uses allowances; learners never do.
• When an allowance runs out, AI work pauses until you top up or upgrade. While your plan is active, your learners can still take published courses.

5. Top-ups

• Paid plans can buy extra AI edit credits or generation units at the prices on the Pricing page.
• Your plan's allowance is used first, then top-ups.
• Top-ups last until the end of your plan term and carry over when you renew. If your plan expires without renewal, unused top-ups are kept for 90 days and restored if you renew within that time.

6. Renewal

• Plans do not renew automatically. We send reminders 30, 7 and 1 days before expiry.
• To renew, pay for the next term from the Billing page. The new term starts the day after the current one ends.

7. Upgrades and downgrades

• Upgrade anytime. The unused value of your current plan is credited towards the new plan, and the new 12-month term starts on the upgrade date.
• Downgrades take effect at renewal. If your usage is above the lower plan's limits (for example more courses than allowed), you must reduce it before the downgrade or keep the higher plan.

8. When a plan expires

• Your courses, learners and records are kept for 90 days.
• Learners cannot access published courses until the plan is renewed. Their progress and certificates are kept and return on renewal.
• New AI generation, AI edits and downloads stop until you renew.
• If not renewed within 90 days, the account moves to the Free plan limits; content above those limits is kept read-only for a further 90 days, then may be deleted after email notice.

9. Free plan

• 3 courses with up to 5 pages each, 30 AI edit credits, and up to 5 learners.
• No SCORM or PDF download; courses and certificates carry the CourseGeni watermark.
• One Free account per person, email address or organisation.
• Free accounts with no login for 12 months are deleted, after a warning email at 11 months.

10. Add-ons

Add-ons such as SSO or removing "Powered by CourseGeni" are bought separately, run for the same term as your plan, and renew with it.
